Mid-Autumn & Thanksgiving Concert

Summary:
On September 12, 2020, our group held a Mid-Autumn and Thanksgiving concert at Milliken Park. Our performances inspired over 50 seniors. MP Bob Saroya attended and presented a Community Hero Award. We donated 2,000 masks and sanitizer to the community.
Psychology Seminar

Summary:
After months of fighting COVID-19 at home, many seniors felt lonely, anxious, or fearful. We invited registered psychotherapist Hailing Huang and her friend HuoHua to answer questions and help everyone maintain a positive mindset.
Canada Day 153rd Anniversary
Summary:
During the pandemic, we could not celebrate in person, but our online concert was still wonderful. Members performed enthusiastically, dedicating their songs to frontline workers and celebrating Canada’s 153rd birthday.
Father’s Day, Dragon Boat Festival & Food Show
Summary:
On June 20, 2020, we celebrated Father’s Day, the Dragon Boat Festival, and a food show online. Singing and shared joy brought warmth to everyone.
Community Donation

Summary:
In late March and early April, we donated 1,500 masks to support the community. Supplies were delivered to senior homes and the Markham Disability Centre.
Spring Festival Gala
Summary:
On January 18, 2020, our group participated in the Spring Festival Gala. Members with an average age of 63 performed the classic song Katyusha.
